How to: Fix Slow Retracting or Stuck Seat Belt. I found this site and wanted to say that I am a Konica Minolta tech and I will be happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability for Konica Minolta printers. I have access to many of the printer models and will do what I can to answer your questions. We reinstalled it several time and receiving the same error massage. We tried reinstalling the old unit, still not working. I do not feel that it. Could you help? M# MC3. Tim
Any help would be appreciated! I know there was someone else having problems with this too. Should I do the short circuit thing? I guess resetting the thing wouldn't hurt would it? I cannot get into the reset menu because of the error. I'm no printer tech, but in most other lasers (HPs, etc) the paper tray lifts, or pushes up a little on the paper stack, via springs, coils, or other mechanical means. But ours just lies sort of flat and down all the way. Pushing down on the paper tray seems to have no effect. I gather that the design here is a little different, there is a solenoid or relay that activates paper pickup mode, or something like that - - in which case the solution would probably be to replace the board, which we aren't gonna do at this point, since new color printers are around $3. Unless there's some other fix? I will try to clean the rollers, but it just seems to me that dirty rollers is not the issue. If we pile in paper to the maximum height, paper picks up OK. But once it dips down a certain amount, paper never gets picked up (because the tray isn't lifting it up) and so the rollers never engage. So, uh.. I have forgotten the Admin password Many thanks, However, the vertical placement of the page is somewhat random: if I print the same page twice in a row there can be a vertical shift of several millimeters. There is never any real repeatability. Lately I've noticed that the printer LCD panel indicates a . This may have been happening all along; I've just discovered that the . Both the printer and the computer's printer driver settings (under Win/XP) are set to Letter. I'm not sure how the printer determines the paper size as it feeds into the printing mechanism, but it seems to be misreading the dimensions. I've found a couple other posts on the web with people experiencing similar problems with the 2. Does anyone out there have an idea? I've only just discovered this site; I hope someone can help me out. Thank you all for your input! Dan
Hence, documents often end up cut off at the bottom, unfinished. Is this a technical error or are there any adjustments I should make on the printer settings? What usually happens is the flag which runs thru the sensor opening and either blocks light or clears the opening is stuck in the wrong postion. Look for any plastic moving parts which look like they move in the direction of the paper path and then should return by spring action towards the oposite direction. Make sure it is in a like up position ready to be pressed down by the paper moving thru the printer. If in the pressed down position you will get the paper jam message. There seems to be a little too much fine . I've cleaned the printer thoroughly, but the dust keeps reappearing. I'm assuming this is . In the 2. 43. 0DL, as best I can tell, waste toner is stored in the Drum Cartridge rather than in a separate bottle, and it seems to eminate from a chute in the Drum Cartridge. I'm about to try to empty the waste toner, but thought there may be an expert who could give me some tips please? For example, either I could carefully dis- assemble the drum cartridge, or perhaps it's better to simply drill a small hole in it . I would clean the small gold pads with an eraser as recommended, but the problem would resurface all too soon. I likewise attempted to clean the mating switch contact in the printer, but noticed that one of the contacts was mis- aligned. To cut a long story short, I successfully removed the switch, disassembled it, cleaned out the dirt .

The printer is about 3 years old and on its second set of cartridges after initial toner refills were used on the first set. It's printed about 6. I have 2. 40. 0w that I am ready to chuck out the window. Many thanks. It has genuine toner cartridges and drum. It started printing with greenish yellow blots streaked along the page verically. Even the test page from the rom comes out the same. I replaced all the toner cartridges and cleaned the printed and it is still there. It has about 6. 50. Do not know what to do. Help and Thanks. Due to copyright I cannot post the pics up on the forum but if you send me a message with your email then I will send them to you. My advise is offered freely based on my personal knowledge. Tried accessing Operator Panel but display comes up with WAITING FOR IDLE. Tried disconnecting from network and removing paper trays but no effect. I don't use it often, only few pages per week for schools, but recently, the prints came out very fuzzy, and I check the menu, it shows that there's 3. I thought because it was low in ink so I added some refill ink into the black toner, but that still doesn't help. I check the drum and it still looks good. We have had this problem on numerous 2. We clean the small sensor chip (bottom right, looks like a small circuit board) and any other bits which look dirty and the printer tends to respond after a restart. It kind of looks like multicolored barcode from top to bottom of page with all the lines extending from left edge in about 1/2 - 3/4. It is also present on Black only printout, but obviously just black barcode. I did not change anything. But has occasionally on power off and power on stopped for a short time. And since it has happened to both machines then I thought this may be a common problem that someone might have experienced. PS machines are about a year apart in age and the one continuously showing this problem has much less usage so I do not think it is related to age or number of copies. The lines I describe as looking like barcode are all parallel to each other and perpendicular to the paper path. The lines are not all the same length and do not seem to have a pattern to them and they sometimes wrap around or are affected by image on paper. Does anyone know what this problem is and how to fix it? PS I have service manual, but do not see anything in troubleshooting section pertaining to this problem. Sincerely, Magna
The printing halted when this noise started. I shut if off, restarted the printer and tried again - same thing. Along with the noise the error light started flashing quickly. I couldn't see what the error was exactly, as I was running it in Linux, so I do not have the status monitor. Now it will not even finish booting - it will go straight to the flashing error with no grinding, but neither does not finish its normal boot routine. I installed it on a windows machine to see if the status monitor would shed any light, but the status monitor gives me the 'printer off/printer not connected error'. I've done a decent amount of electronic tinkering, but never printers. Any advice or starting points would be dearly appreciated. Black too. The problem happens about 8. Tray 1 and re- insert it again. The problem has gone on forever because it has been easy to deal with. Once in a while it clunks and sounds bad printing the first page and spits out a wrinkled page or a page with folds in it. I'd like to fix both of these but it's not clear to me that there's a solution for this exact problem. - Mark K. When I went to print the paper went theough but there was hardly any print on it, (a few black marks near the front of the sheet), but I heard a dragging/jam noise coming from the printer. I had no error messages each time I tried(3- 4 times). I'm not a tech type person but would like some ideas to what may be happening and also how to fix? Many thanks.
First is the failure of the 8. Only the last inch or so does not eject.
